We\'ll also need to monitor snow level to make sure we can navigate the trail, but some snow is ideal. If the overnight temperature is forecast to be below freezing, we can drive back towards diablo lake and camp at lower elevation with warmer temps.  Also, there\'s a half mile stretch of narrow dirt road near Dead Horse Point that we\'ll need confirmation from a ranger is snow/ice free. Drive I-90 East to exit 32, and head South on Cedar Falls Road about 3.5 miles. The road will be divided by two parking lots one on your left and one on your right. Chose the one on your left and we should all be there milling around by the mapboard or trailhead for Iron Horse Trail.  *If the one on the left requires a trail pass then just park at Rattlesnake and walk on over so that you don\'t get a ticket...I am not 100% sure if they require the pass on the Iron Horse Side or not...so just read the signs there.&amp;lt;br /&amp;gt;&amp;lt;br /&amp;gt;This is an old railroad grade that is a wide soft path through the woods, over streams, in open areas with sweeping views of I-90, you will pass by climbing spots and see some folks on belay, etc. And there is usually a port a potty by the climbing wall too!  This is a great change of pace from the city!  Leave your cares behind as you embark on your long walk in the woods.&amp;lt;br /&amp;gt;&amp;lt;br /&amp;gt;I\'ll be there to meet up with some runner friends and will be running some of the miles but this is a great hike or walk out and back at any speed.  At a slow pace you can enjoy the surroundings and history of this old railroad that has been turned into a nice pathway for people.  &amp;lt;br /&amp;gt;&amp;lt;br /&amp;gt;*Extra credit to anyone who can memorize all the names of the many rivers and brooks we will cross on all the footbridges.&amp;lt;br /&amp;gt;&amp;lt;br /&amp;gt;It\'s a very slight incline going out and that makes a nice slight downgrade coming back! The stream the falls occur along is unnamed, though it flows with significant volume for the majority of the year. Late in the summer, it becomes less impressive, but during the winter and spring, the side-by-side streams of water are quite impressive.  &amp;lt;BR&amp;gt;&amp;lt;BR&amp;gt;Located within the Boulder River Wilderness, off of the Mountain Loop Highway between Arlington and Darrington. Follow the easy trail for 1 � miles to the falls, and a bench overlooking the scene.
